Job Description
An exciting career opportunity has arisen with a worldwide company for an MI Report Analyst to join a busy Decision Support Department.
The main purpose of the role is to create management reports used by key business stakeholders.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all MI extracts execute correctly and Cognos reports and cubes are up to date.
- Liaise with IT outsource supplier and internal IT departments as required to ensure Management Information availability is delivered in an efficient and timely manner.
- Act as first point of contact for MI queries raised by the helpdesk.
- Produce high quality, business focused reports that fully exploit the features of Cognos 8.
- Develop we based tempolates to allow capture of key information.
- Evaluate current reports and update to ensure content is accurate and performance is optimised.
As such, the following skills are essential:
- Cognos 8
- Proven expertise in complex Cognos report writing and web page development
- SQL (T-SQL preferred)
- Understanding of Relational Databases
- Experience of creating OPAL cubes
- Knowledge of VB, HTML, XML, ASP
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills
